It is a mixture of canal side intrigue and Hamlet. The plot twists and turns at a frenetic pace.
It is however a bit feminist as all the bright ideas seem to stem from the female characters, and in the main we males seem a rather pedestrian lot in comparison... ... for a fast-paced thrilling read this would be hard to beat, and had me puzzling most of the way through, as things are not always as they seem initially"
