I currently live in North Warwickshire with my husband who is a retired vicar . We have three grown-up children. When not acting as carer for our middle child, who is autistic, I ran my own cross-stitch business, designing and producing charts and kits. The rest of my working life has been in administration and management, which includes a hospital in Toronto, Ontario, a Rural Community Council, a catalogue distribution company, a Christian Charity and a parish church.

We (my husband and I) spend six months of the year on our narrowboat travelling the inland waterways of England.

I have a BA(Hons)  in Leadership and Management and a MA in English (with Merit).
